Partners for Christian Media was founded to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ through media and music. When PCM began in 1995, one of the most effective ways to reach people in their cars, homes and offices with the Gospel, was FM radio. Today, J103 continues to broadcast hope and encouragement on three frequencies covering a four state listening area.
A few years after we launched J103, we noticed a void when it came to family-oriented, wholesome live entertainment. Chattanooga and the surrounding area had many festivals and outdoor events that drew thousands of people, but none that featured exclusively Christian music. In 1999, we launched Jfest. Jfest provides a welcoming environment for both believers and seekers. Today, Jfest is the largest Christian music festival in the area and draws crowds as large as 12,000 of all denominations and walks of life for a full day of family fun and worship.
In the last few years, we have seen a shift in the way people are listening to music. If we were going to take the Gospel to where the people are, it was clear music streaming had to be our next ministry addition. JRadio is a streaming platform designed to house and distribute Christian and positive music of all genres and moods. JRadio pairs the impact of music that we have seen over the past 30 years with technology to reach a whole new audience.
God had equipped us to impact lives by presenting the Gospel through music. We embraced that mission with J103, Jfest and JRadio. But there was still more ground to take. What about those who don’t have a great interest in music or those who intentionally avoid church and Christian media?
ComeOnLetsGo was founded as a mass media campaign to reach people with the Gospel by sharing real stories of hope in Jesus Christ. We find, film, produce and distribute stories of people whose lives were changed when they encountered God. While unsuspecting viewers are watching videos online, they run straight into a story of how Jesus Christ can change a life.
Although the Gospel will never change, music and media are changing at a rate never seen before. We are not sure where the people will be 10 years from now, but we do know that Partners for Christian Media will be right there with them sharing the Gospel, as we have for the last 30 years.
